Awesome facts you need to know about Eric Delko

Ready for some fun facts about my favorite character - Eric Delko?
Eric Delko investigating a piece of evidence
Eric Delko in the Crime Lab

Eric "Delko" Delektorsky is a Crime Scene Investigator working for the Miami-Dade Crime Lab. He is a Level 3 CSI, specializing in fingerprint and drug identification. Eric is also the team's underwater recovery expert. While trying to rescue a woman kidnapped by escapee Clavo Cruz, Delko was critically wounded by one of Cruz's henchmen. He survived and rejoined the team. Delko left the team temporarily in season eight but returned to the series temporarily in Delko for the Defense, when he consulted a defense lawyer in a murder case. He is described as kind and caring. He takes things personally, especially cases which he feels strongly about. He is also shown to be very protective of women, despite being a bit of a 'player', especially if they are being abused or in an abusive relationship (episode 513, "Throwing Heat"). Eric seems to have some personal issues, as is shown by him occasionally seeing therapists. While the exact nature of these issues is not entirely shown, it appears that self-control may have something to do with it. He also will occasionally get angry, but still maintains his caring nature when a situation calls for it. Eric Delko is the fingerprint, tires and drug identification expert of the Miami-Dade Crime Lab, as well as their underwater recovery expert. Delko has a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Miami, where he played right field for the baseball team (and is a former college classmate of wildlife conservationist Jeff Corwin) and is fluent in Spanish. Delko often acts as a diver for the CSI team, likely due to his muscular physical shape, and has tried to get Ryan Wolfe to train as a diver on several occasions. Eric also seems to have a knack for being charming, as is evidenced by him having many experiences with ladies, thus him being a "ladies man."

Must know facts about Calleigh Duquesne - The Bullet Girl

Hi, CSI maniacs! Are you ready for some news about the ballistics expert, Calleigh Duquesne? Here you are then.

Calleigh Duquesne with her police badge
Calleigh Duquesne

Calleigh Duquesne is the day shift assistant supervisor at the Miami-Dade Crime Lab. She is the adoptive mother of Austin and Patty North. She is also the best friend of Eric Delko. Calleigh has long blonde hair and bright green eyes. She is also noted to be the shortest of the Day Shift CSIs (Emily Procter is 5' 2", or 1,57 m tall). Calleigh is a prime example of "southern hospitality", an almost eternal optimist, with a sunny disposition and a smile to match. However, this attitude does not in any way interfere with her quest to put criminals where they belong. She is pretty much universally liked by her co-workers like Tim Speedle who sometimes remark on her being nearly "too happy". And while she does not believe in supernatural curses and the like, she does believe in karma (episode 506, "Curse of the Coffin"). Because of her cheery attitude and southern-belle charm many suspects have expected her to be dim to what goes on around her, but in truth she is aware of when a suspect is flirting with her or trying to trick her and she will immediately point out what they're trying to do. Even though her time as a CSI has exposed her to intense violence and gore, she is unfazed by much of it. However, in Season two she revealed that she has an intense fear of ants, which Eric Delko helped her overcome.

Music - everything you need to know about the CSI: Miami soundtrack

Main theme song

CSI: Miami's main theme is "Won't Get Fooled Again", written and performed by The Who written by Pete Townshend. It was released as a single in June 1971, reaching the top 10 in the UK, while the full eight-and-a-half-minute version appears as the final track on the band's 1971 album Who's Next, released that August.

Townshend wrote the song as a closing number of the Lifehouse project, and the lyrics criticise revolution and power. To symbolise the spiritual connection he had found in music via the works of Meher Baba and Inayat Khan, he programmed a mixture of human traits into a synthesizer and used it as the main backing instrument throughout the song. The Who tried recording the song in New York in March 1971, but re-recorded a superior take at Stargroves the next month using the synthesizer from Townshend's original demo. Ultimately, Lifehouse as a project was abandoned in favour of Who's Next, a straightforward album, where it also became the closing track. The song has been performed as a staple of the band's setlist since 1971, often as the set closer, and was the last track drummer Keith Moon played live with the band. As well as a hit, the song has achieved critical praise, appearing as one of Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It has been covered by several artists, such as Van Halen who took their version to No. 1 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart. It has been used for several TV shows and films, and in some political campaigns.
The song was first covered in a distinctive soul style by Labelle on their 1972 album Moon Shadow. Van Halen began covering the song in concert in 1993. Eddie Van Halen re-arranged the track so that the synthesizer part was played on the guitar. A live recording was released on Live: Right Here, Right Now and made it to number one on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart. Both Axel Rudi Pell (on Diamonds Unlocked) and Hayseed Dixie (on Killer Grass) covered the song in their established styles of metal and bluegrass respectively. Richie Havens covered the track on his 2008 album, "Nobody Left to Crown", playing the song at a slower tempo to the original.

Welcome to Everything about CSI: Miami

About the author

My name is Joanna and I am from Poland. I am a 23- year-old strongly disabled person in wheelchair who spends most of her life at home. Other than CSI:Miami I love drawing, doing cross stitch, watching great movies and most of all listening to the songs of German band Scorpions.
Writing this blog for you helps me release my creativity and forget all the obstacles given to me by the disease to overcome on a daily basis what entails an outstanding effort. Doing things which others may like makes me enjoy my life as it is.
